Human
Settlement Analysis Group of IIRS was established in 1983
with the collaboration of ITC, Enschede, The Netherlands,
to meet the growing need and challenges of population
explosion in this part of globe. It has developed
expertise in the field of infrastructure planning, urban
environment analysis, population study and regional
analysis. It works in close contact with city and district
administration and aims to spread the benefits of remote
sensing technology at grass-root level.
